County Council Elections 6th May

County Council Elections 6th May

17th of February, 2021

Are you interested in becoming a County Councillor? Do you want to make a difference to your local community?

Do you want to know more in order to decide? How could you do this?

In preparation for the forthcoming elections, the County Council will be holding a virtual information event at 6.00pm on Monday 22 February 2021 for anyone who is thinking about standing as a councillor in the forthcoming County Council elections due to be held in May.

The event will give prospective candidates the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a county councillor, how the County Council operates and to raise any questions they may have around the election process.  In addition, there will also be an opportunity to speak informally with council officers about the role and the support that will be made available to them.
